The Hoffmeister Company

Founded in 1910 by Wilhelm Hoffmeister and now based in Schalksmühle (North Rhine-Westphalia), the company manufactures innovative and highly precise luminaires and lighting systems. The main focus is on museums, cultural institutions and architectural monuments. The company specialises in spotlights and floodlights as well as outdoor lighting close to buildings. It focuses on the development of precise lighting instruments with high optical accuracy, photometric diversity and excellent light quality. The products are also characterised by the fact that they are compatible with all common control and monitoring systems. The company holds several patents, which testifies to the diversity and innovative power of Hoffmeister’s technological achievements in modern lighting technology.
Innovation
We develop innovations with our customers
We have two research and development centres: one for luminaires, with workshops for prototyping and a complete test laboratory for mechanical, electromagnetic and photometric tests. The second centre – SRM Mikroelektronik GmbH, based in Berlin – specialises in electronics. Complete electronics (LED boards, drivers, controls) are developed and produced here.
Following our pursuit of excellence and innovation, we select the most efficient materials and components. We develop outstanding light efficiency and precision. We also optimise the design of each model until it meets our requirements.
