Precise lighting and digital control in Wiehl Church

The Catholic parish church of St. Mariä Himmelfahrt in Wiehl impresses with its simple architecture and bright, open interior. The lighting solution had to respect the sacred character of the space while integrating state-of-the-art technology. The aim was to achieve uniform, glare-free illumination with the option of flexibly adapting different lighting scenarios to different worship situations.

Flexible lighting control for modern church lighting

Spotlights from the gin.o 2 series were used in combination with control.x power rails. These enable precise light control and flexible adjustment of the lighting. A special feature of the project is the integration of the blu2light system, which allows intuitive control of the luminaires via smartphone or tablet. This means that the lighting can be quickly and conveniently adapted to any situation – from solemn masses to atmospheric evening events. The modern control technology and the precise light quality of the Hoffmeister spotlights thus contribute significantly to the calm yet impressive atmosphere of the church.
