Swimming pool Prohlis – Precise lighting solutions for modern bathroom architecture

The Prohlis swimming pool in Dresden combines an indoor pool and an outdoor pool in a versatile facility and is one of the city’s central sports and leisure locations. The indoor areas place high demands on homogeneous, glare-free and efficient lighting, especially in areas with high humidity and reflective surfaces. Robust, precisely controllable lighting technology was required to create a safe environment for athletes and visitors.
With this in mind, those responsible opted for lighting solutions from Hoffmeister.

Lighting solution

Downlights from the complx.200 series were used for general lighting in the swimming pool hall, ensuring uniform, glare-free illumination. Thanks to their IP65 protection rating, they are also ideally suited to the special climatic conditions in indoor swimming pools. In addition, SILL 14M series spotlights were installed for direct side lighting. They support targeted light control along the edges of the pool and create clear visual orientation in all areas of use. The combination of both systems ensures a permanently reliable and comfortable lighting concept that meets the functional and safety requirements of the swimming pool.
